Yodi’s Stars Finally Align

by Syd Sullins

Beautiful Yodi was one of our most difficult placements. Not because she was a problem, just because the stars weren’t in alignment for her!

She came to us with a litter of her very young pups. We quickly found a wonderful adopter for her in Canada but we needed to wait until the babies were weaned. When they were old enough, we had her scheduled to fly out and the flight was cancelled. Eventually we got her another flight but shortly before her departure, she was diagnoses with TVT, a sexually transmitted disease. She needed at least six weeks of treatment for her cure. Then her adopters were planning a vacation so we needed to wait for their return.

Finally, this beautiful girl was ready to fly. There was one concern though that perhaps she wouldn't get along with the cats at her new home. To our great joy that was not a problem and we all rejoiced.

Here’s what new dad, Niel, had to say about our sweet girl:

"She is a great dog. Everyone she meets loves her. Now she is fully integrated in our house with our cats. They get along really well. She also is great with other dogs. When we take her to the park, she loves to be chased by other dogs and she's the fastest one there! She can maneuver like a border collie and enjoys chasing a frisbee. She even brings the frisbee back most of the time for a liver treat.’’

Niel continues, “Yodi thinks she’s a lapdog which is just fine with us. She loves to be held and we are very grateful that you suggested her for us. Thanks and all the best to you.''
