Fosters Are Our Heros
by Carolyn Cothran
Fosters are the backbone of rescue. They are probably the most important component to our success. We have some amazing fosters doing wondrous things for us. I thought I would list a few of our current heroes.
There is a couple who are taking one of our dogs in for two weeks before she flies to her permanent home. A dog that is in
a home before adoption makes a much smoother transition.
Another couple often takes our puppies who are just too young to thrive in a shelter setting. They have an amazing set up in their home and can keep them until they are old enough to relocate.
Our amazing retired RN foster takes puppies and also our dogs who need to recover from surgeries or need medicines at all times of the day and night.
Even our staff will often take a dog home if it needs a little love and extra care.
A woman, who is heavily into rescue, does a lot for us behind the scenes. She takes pups as well that would not otherwise do well at the shelter.
We have some dogs that come in and just need some love and attention, and we have a loving couple who gives them what they need.
These generous people all give of their time and energy and most especially, their hearts! Often there are tears when the dogs go off to their very bright future.
If anyone is interested in fostering, any of our wonderful dogs, please contact us.
