Corrine New Board Member

I am originally from New York, attended Fairfield University in Connecticut and never left! I have been long divorced and raised my family in Madison CT. My daughter and 2 grandchildren are in Madison and my son and his new wife are in the St.Croix US Virgin Islands. My career was IT Project Management.

In 2002, I bought a home in Ajijic for vacations. Living in a Mexican village at that time was very different. There was no internet or easy international phone calls. People cashed travelers checks at the exchange near the plaza and there were only mom & pop shops. And best of all no traffic!

After moving to Lakeside permanently, it was around 2010 that I made a friend, Leigh Sheardown, through The Ranch. Over the years, I've seen it grow, evolve and adapt to literally save thousands of dogs. It has been a tremendous joy. Loving and caring for our beautiful dogs gives me a needed purpose to my expat life here. I am so grateful for knowing and working with our amazing Ranch volunteers and community of dedicated dog lovers. It’s a privilege and an honor to be on the Board and I’ll do my best to help us meet the challenges of the future.
