Dog of the Month
by Dale Green
When I look at this girl, I see nothing but love emanating from that happy, life-worn, silly face!
Queen is the epitome of the joyful pit bull, with her life-loving, lackadaisical personality. Her tail is always whipping back and forth, bouncing up and down, helicoptering, and performing any other action that shows she is SO HAPPY to see you. Same with meeting another dog who strikes her fancy – she doesn’t hesitate to let it be known that she is overjoyed to make that pooch’s acquaintance. Has she had some hard knocks? Sure … who hasn’t? Does she let it slow her down? Not in the least! She greets everyone with a smile and a happy “woof,” just in case you miss seeing her way down low to the ground. Oh yes, this diva is a low-rider, in the true sense of the word.
Queen came to us in 2020 and was quickly snapped up by someone who loved her very, very much for many years. Unfortunately, Queen’s person came into a situation that didn’t allow him to keep her any longer, even though she was so very adored. So she arrived back at The Ranch, where she has captivated everyone since her return! Especially those of us who love pits. We all have a soft spot for her. Queen has only one eye, but gives not one whit – she just sparkles that much more out of the other. Queen loves people, and she is so benignly sweet and inoffensive that it’s impossible not to love on her. She has four tiny white gloves and a lovely white chest scarf to temper her rough-around-the-edges look, and a CRAZY cute set of ears! Queen is calm and manageable. She walks great on leash and will be a low maintenance, loyal dog for anyone. If anyone deserves a royal life, it’s Queen. Let’s find this girl a home where she can ride out the rest of her years in well-earned comfort!
