We Did It

In May we initiated our Matching Funds campaign, which has become a bit of a tradition for us at The Ranch. We had a donor who offered to donate $10,000 USD if we could raise the same amount of money. This always feels like a huge challenge, but we initiated the campaign and as usual our supporters didn’t let us down. Our donations ranged from $20 USD to $5,000 USD. So not only did we reach the goal, we even exceeded it.

Running a rescue like The Ranch is incredibly expensive. Our expenses usually run about 120,000 pesos per month. We are very careful with our spending and try to stretch every peso but we have rent, vet bills, staff salaries, cleaning supplies, regular repairs and the cost of kibbles for 120 hungry dogs. Many supporters choose to sponsor a dog by contributing $30 USD each month for their care. These donations are vital to our success, but with these donations, we fall short every month.

The Ranch has been in existence for 24 years now - and we could never have done this without your support! Thank you all so much for your big hearts.
