Charro a Great Match

When proposing a dog for adoption, sometimes things click immediately, other times not so much. But things usually work out just as they should in the end.

About six months ago I was contacted by Scott who was looking for a dog. I picked him up and took him to The Ranch and he immediately fell in love with one of our puppies. He sat with the pup for sometime at the casita and I was amazed how this big guy was so gentle with this tiny pup. I’ve received updates from time to time and that pup, now named Daisy, is doing great. She’s fun and playful and very much Scott’s dog.

When Scott contacted me again a few weeks ago, he told me that Daisy was very much “his dog” and his wife would like a dog that would be “hers”. She wanted a cuddly dog, versus playful Daisy. He described what he wanted and I thought I had the perfect dog, Jena. She was being fostered at my home and I found her to be exactly what they wanted. So I took her over for a trial home visit, and after five days they called me. Jena loved Daisy and would play and play with her, but she didn’t seem comfortable with them. She seemed to miss me - so I went to pick her up.

While there I told Scott and Barbara about another dog we had at The Ranch. Our Charro was a little younger than what they were looking for and a little smaller but she was definitely a cuddler. I delivered Charro for a trial visit and within a few hours Scott messaged me that she was definitely the right combination for them.

At The Ranch, we really take pride in helping match adopters to the dog that will be perfect for them. A few home trials are fine, we just want everyone (including our precious pups) happy in the end.
