Smooth Landing on All 3
By Julie Wittman
Baker was one of eight black female pups found on the streets of Jocotepec with their mother. Even bursting at the seams with dogs, The Ranch agreed to take these 4-month old pups last August. They did this knowing shortly they could all go into heat and there would be many more babies on the street. Also thankfully, the family brought the mama dog in to be sterilized so she would not have anymore puppies.
The pups all flew north to homes in Oregon and Washington. Baker had a traumatized front leg which we amputated and here is her adopter”s update:
“Ever since Baker got here she made herself right at home. When she’s not playing in the backyard with our other pups or hiking with us through the Evergreen woods she is lounging on the couch dreaming about her next adventure. At night, Baker loves to cuddle. Despite having multiple dog beds to choose from she climbs into our bed at night and snuggles right into us so we can all keep each other warm. Baker has become a playful, well-behaved, goofy and adorable addition to our family and we are so happy we get to call her ours.”
