There are many moving parts to getting dogs flown north of the border. The details are staggering and each trip is different. We are fortunate to have many people who are experienced, brave and committed to helping us. None more so than Arturo Hermosillo.

We met the first time when I was driving a dog to Puerto Vallarta. Syd and I had planned on a girl’s weekend, but at the last minute, she had to change plans. I was not wild about driving all that way alone so I hired Arturo. I will never forget saying to him, '' After this, we will either love each other or hate each other!” I immediately saw his amazing skill with people and his ability to get the job done.

We often have Arturo drive our flyers and check in our dogs. He almost always has an adventure that requires quick thinking and some charm. He is creative and doesn’t take no for an answer. The airlines change rules, and the ticket agents sometimes make decisions that aren’t consistent with their policies. He patiently works through all of this and has been responsible for the successful trips of hundreds of our dogs.

Arturo’s enthusiasm is contagious. We adore Arturo and are grateful for all he does.
