Volunteer of the Month

We have a lot of really great volunteers come out and work with our  equally great dogs.  One recently, is Michelle Read.  She has an amazing approach with dogs and we are really lucky to have him.

Michelle has been coming out with Gary on Wednesdays and her focus is on giving great attention to as many dogs as she can.  She has an amazing way with them.  When she walks in the kennel she lovingly asks the dog to sit and wait for her to get the leash on them.  They are amazing and listen to her and sit very beautifully.

I have seen her walking with dogs and giving them basic commands that I am sure they don’t know.  She patiently teaches them and they respond to her beautifully.

Her natural curiosity and love of dogs makes Wednesday a special day for all.
