Volunteer of the Month
by Carolyn Cothran
There are a lot of people who do a lot of things to help The Ranch be a successful and happy place for around 100 dogs. Too many to count. They all do a myriad of things and each are very critical to the shelter. This month, we want to put our focus on Cynthia Peters-Zeier. She is not just a donor but she puts her money where her mouth is.
Cindy regularly posts for us on Facebook. She coined the term “Flight Angel’ which is used when we are soliciting people flying north of the border to take dogs. She coordinates a lot of the flight angels as well.
Cindy helped launch the ''Sponsor a Dog'' program and administers it. Not only does she keep track of all the dogs who are sponsored and adopted, she reaches out to the sponsor and helps them make another choice when their dog gets adopted. Cindy also fosters three dogs herself!
Every year we do a matching funds campaigns which she manages. This is critical to the success and long life of our beloved Ranch.
No words can truly express our gratitude to Cindy. Her love of animals, and commitment to our community is boundless. Oh yes, and she has a Ranch alum in her pack!
