Our Blue Eyed Babies

Recently The Ranch has been inundated with litters of puppies, some have blue eyes. It made me ask myself what breeds have blue eyes?

At first we assumed they were husky mixes, but there are several other breeds that sometimes throw blue eyes. Here are the breeds I found:

Siberian Husky

Border Collie

Australian Shepherd

Dachshund

Weimaraner

Cardigan Welsh Corgi

Along with babies that have two blue eyes, we’ve also got some gorgeous pups with only one blue. These are the breeds most commonly found with only one: Huskies, Australian Shepherds, Great Danes, Catahoula Leopard Dogs, and Dalmatians.

Whatever breed they are, they are beautiful and make for really striking models for our photographer Bruce Dugsdale. You can meet them all at The Ranch.

Often our dogs that are flow to the US have DNA testing done. I would love to see what pops up in the history of these beauties.
